Healing and Reiki

SPIRITUAL HEALING

Spiritual Healing is a natural energy therapy. It complements conventional medicine by treating the whole person - mind, body and spirit. Spiritual Healers act as a conduit for healing energy, often described as 'love and light' which relaxes the body, releases tensions and stimulates self-healing.
Patients receiving healing tend to experience sensations of being re-energised or relaxed, ‘pins and needles’, heat or coolness, and pain coming to the surface and dispersing, indicating that the energies are indeed ‘going to work’.

Healing can be given for any illness, stress or injury as a therapy that is completely therapy. It can be helpful in a wide range of physical and psychological conditions natural, has no side effects and is complementary to any other, sometimes to a remarkable degree: indeed the medically diagnosed nature of the illness appears to be irrelevant to the outcome, and case histories range from the trivial to the terminal in which healing seems to have made an important, perhaps even overriding, contribution to recovery.

REIKI

“Reiki” (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy’, a term used to describe many systems of natural healing. This healing tradition was founded by Dr Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication.

There are many variations of Reiki, but in essence it is a healing process that works at bringing us into balance and reinforces the body’s natural ability to heal itself at all levels, whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. It is a tradition that is open to any belief system.
The method of receiving a Reiki treatment from a practitioner is simple. The recipient remains clothed and lies on a couch or sits on a chair and relaxes. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively, on or near the body.

Reiki practitioners are not trained in diagnosis and will not offer any diagnosis or prognosis. There is no massage or manipulation and the whole person is treated rather than specific symptoms. It is also possible to receive reiki at a distance.
